Woohoo another Chargers fan. By the way, all these forums are separated by subject. NFL stuff would be in the Entertainment Forum, or more specifically this thread:

http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81731 (Official NFL 2004 Thread)

Welcome to Got Apex. Go Chargers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chargers definitely need to franchise Brees so they don't lose him to free agency. Rivers may be good but he has no NFL experience because of the contract stuff and Brees catching fire. Congrats Charger fans. At least one California team's doing well.

Playoffs start next week- at Indianapolis. The winner will have the third seed in the playoffs and not have to play Baltimore in the first round- who has really been coming on lately. And to think they were picked (by me too to be honest) to be the worst in the NFL at the start of the season. Rivers is probably wishing he had turned up for training camp sooner- that is why they went with Brees in the first place this year. He was a contract hold-out and was too far behind to play. Doug Floutie is basically the quarterback coach now. I am also a Denver fan and was sad at how they went south this year. They have never been the same since Elway retired. That shows just how valuable he was to that team. Now let's stop Payton from breaking Dan Marino's touchdown passes record. He didn't get it today.

Well it's not like Rivers can be assuming he'd be doing the same thing Brees is right now. The whole team's been clicking, but Brees has put up some startling numbers. Unless Rivers is another Rothlisberger I don't think he'd have led the Chargers to this same point in his rookie campaign.

Congrats the Chargers and their fans!

My friend always joked about the Chargers being fully charged at the beginning of the season and drained by the end therefore no playoffs but not this year.

Good for them Chargers. It's nice to see one CA team playing well. Hopefully they'll do well in the playoffs.

Three Chargers were named to the Pro Bowl Team. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/s...e=afcroster/04 They are Drew Brees (who was almost out of a job after his performance last year), Antonio Gates (most touchdowns in a season by a tight end) and LaDanian Tomlinson who despite being the top rusher last season was left off the Pro Bowl team then. Way to go! Payton Manning was the top vote-getter. See these two quarterbacks face off this week in Indianapolis!

It was a good game, and Indy definitely had the home field advantage. If the Chargers special teams would have shown up, it would have been a handy win. A good game nevertheless.

Congrats to LT and Gates for setting records as well.

Does anyone know when the NFL will decide what day the Chargers playoff game will be on?

I have a pair of playoff tickets, but will only be able to go if the game is on Saturday
Keep an eye on this thread, i'll probably be selling them if the game lands on Sunday.

I was looking for some sort of schedule based on seeding but could not find one. The Chargers are guaranteed the fourth seed. It is only a guess on my part, but I would suppose the higher seed gets to play on Sunday meaning a Saturday game for the Chargers. Most likely opponent at this time being the Jets, but there are still five teams alive for the two Wild Card spots.
