Meet the Fockers (the "I saw it and thought it was _____" thread)
I loved it. I went with my parents and older sister, and we are very uptight about swearing and sexual stuff for whatever reason, and this movie rescued our family.
Anyway, I personally liked Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand (  ) as Gaylord Focker's parents. I'd give it 4 out of 5 stars. Opinions welcome -->

I saw a company screening last week. I was skeptical about the casting of hoffman and streisand, but was pleasantly surprised by both. I think they did excellent jobs with their respective roles.
The movie was entertaining as a whole, with slow bits and hilarious bits, but all in all I actually enjoyed the first movie much much more. |

Relatively funny, but not superb. I also thought the first one was better. Streisand and Hoffman were welcome additions, if not the best parts of this sequel. I read a review somewhere that stated they should ditch Ben Stiller and the wife and have all four parents (Streisand, Hoffman, Blythe Danner, and Robert DeNiro) go on a cruise together or something of that sort. Those four really make the movie.

Funny but not as good as the first one. Two of the four friends I watched with disagreed, finding it funnier than the first. Hoffman was great, Streisand was so-so. The name thing (Gay and Focker) got really played out. Overused.

i was surprised as to how good it was. i was expecting a lot less..... i laughed enough to make it worthwhile.

I just saw it and loved it. I thought it was hilarious. Not sure which one was better though. Liked them both

i thougth it was funny, but the first one was better. i didn't laugh as much at this one. 3 out of 5 stars at best.

I ended up watching the first one to get a brain refresh about what will happen in the movie. Watch the first one and then went to watch the second. I thought it was good. I'll give it 4 out of 5 stars. A lot of funny scenes and lots of laughter as well. But it wasn't as funny as the first one.
