Petition against Ashlee Simpson: cruel or justified?

There are way too many bad performers currently on the circuit for me to get upset over her..... hundreds, possibly, thousands.

This is a way bigger problem than one 'artist'.

If we got rid of all of the singers who can't match the music on their CDs, what would play on MTV?

If people want her to go away, they should not pay attention to her. Circulating a petition will only tell management that people (a) know who she is; and (b) care enough about her "art" (good or bad) to write in about her. Mission accomplished.

If they want better musicians payed on the radio and MTV, they should be petitioning against Geffen and MTV, not to them!

the petition is fine with me but it means nothing. if people stop buying her CDs and paying to see her shows, then her career will fade off into the sunset. no petition needed.

I looked at some of the signatures. If I was an executive who had some say in Ashlee Simpson's career, I don't think I would take this seriously, based on what I see here.

It's almost pointless in a way. If the tens of thousands of people in one college football stadium could produce a boo for her, it's obvious that many people don't want her to perform. You don't need a petition for that.

I'm fine with it as long as nobody thinks it will do any good.
