Pats vs Steelers

What does everyone think about this game? Any predictions?

It will be a defensive-low-scoring-running game. Hopefully the Steelers won't make mistakes like they did in the Jets game and win this game.

STEELERS!!! GO STEELERS!

I'm really worried at the way Ben's playing. If he plays like that again...they're not going to be so lucky with Vinaterri...

I'm confident that the steeler's D can hold back the pat's o...but it all depends on ben.

I think that pats are gonna pull it out, but not by much.

Pats v. Atl in the Super Bowl.

i think the pats will take it, but i won't be upset if the Steelers win. It'd be nice to see either team win this Superbowl.

I think this is as close as we're going to get to a Superbowl-worthy matchup this year. Neither of the NFC teams will stack up very well against these two.

Hope the Steelers crush them with the run game and dominant defense... but I fear it'll be the Pats to the Super Bowl once again.

i think it's a good matchup. rothlisburger's struggles last week are somewhat concerning, but seeing as he had a TERRIBLE game and the steelers still managed to pull it out, i have to give an edge to pitt, especially because they are at home.

i'll keep saying what i've been saying for a while... PATS ALL THE WAY!

Last week showed that rothlisburger is still a rookie, he played like one. And they almost lost to the jets, well they SHOULD have lost to the jets, but the jets were stupid and played it ultra safe with 1 min left instead of getting more yards for the kick.

I think it should be a good game. The pats want to beat them, and now they have dillon back (when they lost to them they didn't have him) that should make a big difference.
The pats D should be able to contain roth, but the problem is can they stop the run? last time bettis just rolled over them. If they can't stop the run then they are screwed.
Looking forward to it, i'm gonna go check the spread and see what points they are giving.

Some guy on ESPN basically said he'd bite the dust if the Patriots didn't win, since he predicted they'd lose last year (kinda a I doubted them once, but I learned my lesson), which is a REALLY stupid way to predict something. The next commentator mentioned that last year was last year, this year is this year -- Roethlisberger is undefeated, 14 wins, no losses. He will lose in the next few games of course (even if they win the SB, he'll lose a few next season), but aside from Big Ben, the team as a whole has won 15 games this season and have already shown they can beat the Pats.

At any rate, I think most of us agree that if there's one team capable of beating the Pats in this game, the Steelers are rightful to be there.

I thought the Pats Vs Colts game was going to be a battle. I do think the Pats Vs Steelers will be one hell of a physical game. We'll all just have to wait and see.

The Steelers have the same sort of team (strong defense, power running, play-not-to-lose quarterbacking) that Carolina had last year, and that team gave New England fits. I figure this will be a close one, but I still can't decide who I think will win it.

The Patriots beat the Colts the first game of the season and the last for the Colts. The Steelers broke New England's incredible winning streak. I think more people would see the Steelers as more of a threat

I'm with DFU on this one despite the regular season meetings...

Peyton's MVP, record year was all anybody was talking about, and they had just decimated a Denver team in the previous week. The only NE weakness was their secondary, and Indy had the most vaunted air attack in the league. If any team was going to beat the Patriots, the Colts were probably it. The Colts were favorites to win that game by a small margin.

The Steelers did beat the Patriots earlier this year, but that was a Dillon-less Pats squad... and Belichick and Brady always do well the second time they face a team. That and the unconvincing victory by my boy Roethlisberger and company... SportsCenter is calling the Steelers home underdogs.

Is there a team in football that gets prepared better, and just plain comes to play, like the Patriots? They amaze me. (And no, I'm not a Pats fan)

well, that interception Ben threw before the end of the first half sealed it IMHO. No one on the Steelers even tried to chase him down from the camera angles we saw. Well, Ben tried to chase him down but got clobbered. You could see he really didn't want to get in there and get nailed but he had to to avoid looking like a complete wuss.

Big Ben blew it. 3 INT's, although the first wasn't 100% his fault.

At least he'll have an NFL record for winning his first 14 games.

i respect Big Ben and think he will be a good QB for a lot of years, but I think it would be hilarious to make an "owned" pic out of him being blocked after the 2nd interception. he really did get owned.

Couldn't you make the same argument that it's side-splittingly hilarious when a kicker or punter fails to make a tackle?

Ben's rookie-ness prevailed at all the wrong times and places tonight (ie the end zone). as he gets more seasoned he should be great, yes. now hopefully the pats are becoming complacent about this whole boring SB thing so philly has a good chance. we're dayum hungry

I am giving Big Ben Respect. Sure he made his rookie mistakes and all, but man to do what he did as a rookie.... WOW. Hopefully Steeler fans won't be too hard on him.

Pitt D didn't show up yesterday and Big Ben continued to make rookie mistakes. Too bad my predictions didn't come true and I have to endure more talks about the Pats being a "dynasty" team.

I am a very disappointed fan today. I am really glad that they left Big Ben in for the whole game. The fact that he shrugged off the dismal first half and started putting points on the board in the 3rd quarter shows a lot of character. The good news is that he is only going to get better.
