i never really have watched news but he was really the only guy i could stand. by the time i got old enough to be interested in the news, rather was a rambling old man and brokaw seemed very full of himself so i watched peter.

anyhow, they were showing his 9/11 coverage. i brought tears to my eyes watching the towers fall and i relived the shock again. i remember exactly where i was standing when they fell, not believing what my eyes were telling me.

i don't want to get political at all but it saddens me that it seems imho that we have wasted the goodwill, sympathy, unity, patriotism, and comradre that seemed to materialize after the event.

believe it or not, we had a golf outing that evening and i am ashamed to say that we still held it in spite of the tragedy. i really wish i could go back and change my decision to golf.
