Another pro wrestler dies...

...these guys clip off at an amazing rate.

"Latino Heat", Eddie Guerrero found dead.

Quote:
MINNEAPOLIS - World Wrestling Entertainment performer Eddie Guerrero was found dead in his hotel room Sunday morning, according to Minneapolis police.

The 38-year-old professional wrestler didn't answer a wakeup call Sunday and didn't respond to a knock on his hotel-room door, according to newspaper reports. Security guards and Guerrero's nephew forced their way into his room and found the 5-feet-8, 220-pound wrestler on the floor, the Minnesota Star Tribune reported.

"This is a huge loss," WWE chairman Vince McMahon said in a statement. "Eddie was a giving, loving, fun-loving human being who had so much to give, he was a consummate performer who will be so missed by his fans."

Police said there are no signs of foul play or indications that Guerrero's death was a suicide, the Star Tribune reported. His death is under investigation.

Guerreo's brother, fellow WWE performer Chavo Guerrero, said Guerrero had battled drug and alcohol abuse in the past but had celebrated four years of sobriety just days ago. He denied drugs or alcohol played a part in Guerrero's death.

Guerrero was in Minneapolis with 60 to 80 other wrestlers to film "Friday Night Smackdown" at the Target Center, according to the Star Tribune.

Guerrero became WWE champion in February 2004 and lost the title four months later.

The WWE said its show in Minneapolis on Sunday night would go on as a tribute to Guerrero.

but hes been clean for 4 years. do you think that abuse can come back and get you? I mean i wouldn't expect him to live pas 70's but if you work your booty off and stay healthy, dont you live decently for awhile?

guess we gotta wait for the autopsy if there is one...

Honestly, I wouldn't be suprised if steroids showed up in the autopsy reports...

If you've ever followed WCW, WWF and WWE you can see clearly how "jacked up" Eddie was in the past few years versus 5 to 10 years ago... But I'm not saying that he did do those... however his body mass sure got pretty big pretty fast...

well.... they most likely wouldn't use real steriods or straight roids.... but perhaps they would use the cream or the clear or some other designer roids... I mean Scott Stiener was juiced.... However Eddie's build up was kinda gradual... he slowly started to beef out.... I mean come on, at one point he was hanging with Chyna.... one has to beef up to look good next to her muscle (she was not that good looking herself just her muscles). But yeah I agree with DF I also wouldn't be surprised if some kinda of juice showed up in his system either.

back to the point though....

RIP Latino Heat you will be missed.

Yeah, no kidding. He was off for a while, and came back HUGE!!! There's no way anyone can get that big without some help.

So sad man.... so sad....

And to think... he was ONLY 38!!! Hell.. I thought Eddie was older than that... since that is only 3 years older than me.

I have no idea what he was into, but heavy or long term abuse of hard drugs, especially cocaine and speed, is going to reduce your lifespan and bring the potential for all kinds of middle and long term health complications.

Not a big wrestling fan, but watched the tribute. It was nice. Especially by his cousin. Via con Dios Eddie!

I wonder what they will do on Smackdown. I hope they will do something. I would hate it if the WWE only did a tribute to Latino Heat on Cable, and us fans without cable do not get to see it at all. So sad.

Well via the WWE site it looks like it will either rerun the Raw tribute or have a smackdown one too.

The Smackdown Superstars were on RAW... so really there is no need for them to have a repeat of that.

Remember even though it shows on Friday, Smackdown is taped on Tuesday... right after RAW on Monday.

Preliminary Eddie Guerrero autopsy results

Massive Heart Failure. http://www.prowrestling.com/news.php.../articles/news

Eddie Guerrero Autopsy Results - Massive Heart Failure
Date Added: November 15, 2005
Story By: Ryan Clark
WWE.com posted the following:

After the untimely passing of Eddie Guerrero, WWE and the entire sports-entertainment community is steel reeling from the devastating loss of a champion. The initial autopsy reports on Guerrero have come in. WWE.com spoke with Eddie’s widow, Vickie Guerrero, earlier today.

“It was heart failure. It was from his past – the drinking and the drug abuse. They found signs of heart disease. She (the examiner) said that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past. And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting smaller, and that’s what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep.

As soon as they saw his heart, they saw the lining of his heart already had the heart disease. There was no trauma, and Eddie hadn’t hurt himself in any way. It answered a lot of questions. I knew Eddie wasn’t feeling very good for the last week. He was home and kept saying he wasn’t feeling good and we thought it was just “road tired.” So we thought he just had to rest. It answered a lot of my questions, too, because he was just so exhausted. She said it was normal because the heart was working so hard.

When he didn’t call me last night and the night before I knew it was for real, because he would call me every night. I miss his phone calls. I cried through the whole thing (last night). I loved his laugh. His laugh was the best.

We just celebrated his four-year sobriety last Thursday. We just thought we had life by the handful. We thought we had it all figured out. He worked so hard to make a better life for us.

I’m just overwhelmed by how people are coming out. It’s touched my heart a lot. Everybody was just in awe last night in how beautifully everything was put together. All my life was wrestling. All he did was take care of them and live for that. And I don’t know what to do now.”

Drug testing on the way...wonder if it's a sham or if it will help.
