INXS - "Pretty Vegas"

They've got a new guy, JD Fortune, who won an american idol type contest to be their lead singer, and he sounds pretty good in that song off their new album.

you can listen to it here

Gee, who's the guy that won the contest? The one that looks 20+ years younger than the rest of the band maybe?

No **** those guys look older than dirt in that picture.

I remember when they had their heyday. My God I was in junior high school. I really liked "New Sensations" as a kid. And "Not Enough Time." And the harmonica bit in "Suicide Blonde."

Uh oh. That makes me old, doesn't it?

that's ok, I'm older. I'm a huge INXS fan.

I actually really enjoyed Rockstar: INXS, and I like JD ok, but....couldn't bring myself to get tickets to their concert in January. Watching them with a new lead singer just felt unfaithful.

I hope the "New Sensation" can bring the Aussie band back to re-gain some its kick ass rock! Yeah, I grew up w/INXS too, but w/out all the 80s hair.

And he's Canadian so we are quite proud of him.

i love the video for Pretty Vegas. guy has a totally hot bod
go Canada!

seems JD was living out of his car before he hit it big time with INXS.
and at one time his livelihood came from being an Elvis impersonator. which sounds funny, but the guy sounds like he definitely has an appreciation for the roots of his music.

When I heard JD perform Dirty Vegas the first time on Rock Star INXS, I figured he had clinched the gig. That song was soooo INXS. Can't wait to pick up the new CD "Switch".

For G|A'ers in SoCal, INXS will be at the Virgin Megastore at Hollywood & Highland this Thursday December 1st. They'll be signing copies of their new release and just might perform!

the cd is ok. Oddly enough, the best songs are the ones JD worked on; on some of the others the writing is really weak. But it's pretty decent, with some good tunes on there, and JD sounds fine. I also like how Suzie McNeil and Deanna Johnson do background vocals.
