i might as well. i'm actually far more environmentally conscious that must of you would guess. i'd like to see it when it comes out on dvd. i hope it has a lot of fact rather than hype.

after reading State of Fear by michael crichton i'm have more questions as to whether or not it really exists.

however, even IF it doesn't exist, it's still a terrible idea to pump all the pollutants in the air, individually package every single freakin' thing we use, and continue the urban sprawl.

No argument from me there, either. I just hope that eventually some of the politicians realize that their legislation will never apply to Mother Nature.

Consider the source. Scientists who stump for global warming stay in business by obtaining grants and high-profile speaking engagements. Few people get that kind of attention by saying, "Hey, things aren't perfect but they're improving. We can still do better." Shrieking historics get the pub, and scientists know this. There's no evidence whatsoever that the current temperature trends are at all out of line with the ups and downs over the Earth's history. Short-sited folks look at today vs. a few hundred years ago and see a disaster; the wise look back farther and say, "Well, is this terribly out of line over a longer time period?"

OR...they get the grants, do the research, see signs of global warming, and then go to high-profile speaking engagements.
And although it's possible to semi-accurately determine rainfall in a given region several thousand years ago, it's kinda hard to predict the average daily temperature.

Global warming is real, whether you want to believe it is a cyclical phenomenon caused despite human intervention is what's debatable.
