Guess what came out today!

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....uct&id=1534304

Picked it up at lunch and listening to it now. I'll let you know what I think after I get enough time to drown myself in it.

Picked mine up at lunch, as well.

The stereoscopic lenses are really cool!

Wow....not sure what to think about this one yet. It's not what I would have expected from Tool. It's definitely different, almost like a mix between Lateralus and the cover CD that Perfect Circle released. Slaw, what did you think?

Might be interesting. Then again, Tool got NOLA local and my acquaintance Reznor back on heroin. So he left. That sux.

I'm interesting in checking these guys out. If you were to recommend one single album that best represents the "sound of Tool," that made them famous, what would everybody choose?

They're all pretty good. I would guess that Aenemia is their most popular album, however Undertow has their most popular song "Sober".

Each album is drastically different from the other. the tool sound is generally shapeless, they try to stay away from the standard verse, refrain, verse, refrain, repeat refrain you hear in most rock these days.

If you like artsy music (Like pink floyd's wall) get Lateralus.
If you like heavy and angry, get Opiate.
Get anema if you want their radio stuff.
Get Undertow if you want the transition between opiate and anema.

I personally like Lateralus the best, but I think Anema hooks the most people.

You can listen to clips of them here:
http://www.toolband.com/album/index.html

If you have the chance, go see them live. It's the best show I've ever been to.

I got hooked in with Aenima and developed an addiction to Undertow and Lateralus. I like Opiate, but not quite as much.

The cry of the carrots (not sure if that's the specific title) on Aenima was pretty funny.

I have been to one concert of theirs, unfortunately seats, and loved it. Back in the day when I had friends around that I could go to stuff like that with (my wife would *never* go).

When I read the post title, I thought the answer was going to be Ryan Seacrest.

Seems like they're doing small Venue shows in the US.
I bet they come back and play bigger places on the second leg of their tour.
