Thumbs up What are you doing with your extra tax rebate?

Individuals who pay income taxes would get up to $600, working couples $1,200 and those with children an additional $300 per child under the agreement. Workers who make at least $3,000 but don't pay taxes would get $300 rebates.he rebates, expected to go out in June.

The real question is how much are these rebates going to cost us in the long run.

Saving it just in case a Dem is elected president and I end up giving it back, anyway, and then some.

Hmmm, put a portion aside to pay the taxes on it next year and then save the rest for our summer vacation...

Just out of curiosity, why not Paymaster?

Ours will go toward paying off debt most likely. Will be nice to clear off some debt completely.

I'm assuming he's over the qualification CAP. $150K per joint filers.

The rebates would phase out gradually for individuals whose income exceeds $75,000 and couples with incomes above $150,000, aides said. Individuals with incomes up to $87,000 and couples up to $174,000 would get partial rebates. The caps are higher for those with children.

So, you might still be able to get a partial rebate if you're over $150k, and maybe your kids would bump that up even more.

Since we don't get it until June, I'm going to just forget about it completely, and if we get anything, then it will be "magical money" to spend on something fun.

Well with a recent doctor visit, little Annarchy is going to need surgery to remove a dermatological cyst. This money is now likely to go for paying that.

By the time the Senate gets done, the rebate will probably be a tax increase.
