is your employer paying for you to go. to trade conference and pay for your credit hours to achieve your accreditations?
also will your employer pay for trade magazines in your field of employment.

We have crappy tuition reimbursement, but at least it's something - we can get up to $3k/yr for higher education in our field of work. Doesn't make much of a dent in the $50k MBA program, but every little bit helps!

My employer pays 100% for all accredited education, which is very nice (you still have to work full time). I got a master's degree (good), but I haven't been given a chance to do anything other than what I've been doing since I started (bad). For non-work stuff the tuition payments are counted as income so the employee has to pay tax on it, but for other stuff even the tax is included. I'm currently taking automotive classes, and just paying for tax, gas, parking, etc. It used to be even better, 10 years ago. Back then, if you applied and were accepted, they would give you a stipend in addition to tuition, and you could go to any school you wanted, not work at all, and get a paycheck to boot. At least now it applies to everyone.
I don't think they pay for conferences (unless sponsored by the employer) or trade magazine. |

I'll just pay $5000 to one of those shady places that will give me a diploma based on my 'life experiences'.
Hmm, I wonder if they'd reimburse me for that... |
