So my friends and I

are doing an Econ project, we have 10k to invest in stocks any good ones? right now we have CostCo and Nanogen

What's the goal and how much time do you have? If your goal is to get the best return in the next two weeks you'd probably invest differently than if you were trying to get the best return in the next 6 months.

I think I have until the 18th or 19th not too much time so I need quick money that's pretty much the point

Perhaps you'd care to risk an IPO then? Assuming that you can 'buy' at whatever price you like, but them at their offering price.

I think a 30% return in that amount of time is great. You must have made some good selections on your stocks.
