Spend $10,000 buying as many shares as you can, then when it goes up $0.01 SELL SELL SELL.

Generally anything on the Bulletin Board or the pink sheets is a waste of money. You'd probably have better odds (or at least free drinks) in Vega$.

Yeah, it's trading at .13, which is .01 lower than the quote someone posted above on 2/19. LOL.

After looking at the balance sheet and cash flows for this stock I feel like I want my 5 minutes back P3rsian. They have been in the red for at least the last 3 years and they currently have 2.4M in short-term liabilities with only $345k in actual cash coming in the door. Not to mention they are also servicing another 6.6M in long-term debt. They have been operating in the red for at least the last 3 years and it doesn't look like they will be reporting a profit anytime soon. Can you say Chapter 11?

Please don't post this kind of pump-and-dump crap again.

Well I bought ABTG in the beginning of the year at .155 and now it's over .30. I'm bought it cause I think it's a good long term investment. It's a company that is trying to deliver broadband internet access through power lines. Earthlink signed up with the company and NY's Con Ed invested a $hitload of money too. If Con Ed is willing to invest that much, I can also put in a little.

Broadband over power lines is a potential communications disaster waiting to happen if it gets approved. You should get out while you still can.

I read the article but why do you say that it's going to be a disaster? There are always opposition and bumps in the road with every emerging technology. But think of the ramification if we can get broadband through powerlines. Every house and every where in the house will have a internet access. Plus it'll open t he market up a little and create competition with cable and dsl. THis can eventually drive down the cost of broadband.

BPL could be a great way to extend high speed internet access to areas that otherwise wouldn't see it for several years. Japan is one of the leaders in researching and developing the technology and in the past couple years the United States has also starting conducting their own test zones. I first read about this a couple years ago when a few towns in Texas were trying it out. It's now 2004 and companies, utility and tech, have joined hand in hand to come up with a solution that will provide high speed internet at a reasonable cost without interfering with the electrical grid and the radio waves.

I'd guess there's still another couple years of testing before they either fire ahead or kill the project. In any case, I agree with JackHammer that every new technology has its bumps to go over and that the anti-BPL articles circulating around media outlets represent a minority of residential and commercial areas that would love to have this technology.

Can we not hijack this thread and further P3rsian's useless pump-and-dump penny stock? I would be very open to debating this technology and the huge potential problems from a communications engineering viewpoint (what I specialize in) in another thread/forum.

lamer. the stock is worthless. atleast keep the thread going. besides you could probably turn your arguements for/against BPL, and turn them toward a Financial prescpective

I have started a thread on BPL in the Hardware Forum here. (BPL - Broadband over Powerlines)

As for BPL-based companies, there is a reason it's a penny stock. Earthlink is the only thing that is bumping that stock up and when the real truth comes out that 2nd generation BPL still doesn't live up to what they say it can this stock will go back into the toilet from whence it came.

I will reiterate: get out with your profit while you still can. When a stock's value goes to zero, you have nothing left.

Con Ed owns about 50% of the shares. It's not just earthlink by themselves. How do you know that BPL is going suck? Who knows it may work.
