Does anyone have experience with developing commercial property?

I am looking at some farmland (formerly) that's in a good location.
A partner and I are thinking about buying it and building a strip mall/leasing properties. The property has already been rezoned commercial, and the utilities are going in as I type.

I'm going to get a loan to buy the property, as well as a construction loan of course. I handle accounting, and my partner is a general contractor who will handle the actual construction.

Can you guys give your opinions as to some major hurdles or obstacles I will likely face? Thanks.
