There was one, I can never remember his name. His theories were WAY out there, something about building a global rail system to cure the worlds problems...

Anybody know whacky economists?

I have a teacher who believes that the post WW2 economic paradigm is the root of all evil and that through economic regionalization the world will be saved. In other words, he believes that the EU is the greatest thing since sliced bread. When anyone tries to bring up the fact that the European Union has had sluggish growth compared to the US he goes nuts.
