Oh, wow, good find. It sounds like it's almost a checking account that earns an awesome interest rate. Since I almost never walk into banks anymore, this may be a good idea.

Weird, they brought this back?

I posted it a long time ago and then AFAIK they killed the program. People that signed up were allowed to keep their accounts (I still have mine) but I was told they did away with it.

Yea, I opened up one of these a few weeks back. Great investment if you want to keep your money Liquid.
For CD accounts I would check out www.IndyMacBank.com. Great CD rates.....

They told me way back when the account was only in certain states that they would NOT -- you would have to close and re-open.
