Quite possibly the strangest trade request ever!

I'm looking to trade someone a $50 Amazon gift certificate for a $50 Amazon gift certificate.

I told you it was strange!

Here is my problem. On 11/26 I purchased a Palm IIIc from Amazon. Part of the deal was a $50 Gift certificate from Amazon. The problem is that accourding to the T&C it take 2 - 4 weeks for them to send me the certificate. I want to buy something now, because I'm sure it will be sold out before the certificate arrives in my email.

I'm looking to trade someone who has a certificate now, and then repay them when my comes in.

Anyone willing to help?

There's a better way. Order it, along with a DVD that isn't going to be released for a long time. http://www.dvdtalk.com has a list of preorders. When you get your GC, apply it to the order, and then cancel the DVD.

Yeah, it works. I've added GCs to a DVD preorder before. You can't add promo gcs to a preoreder, though. I've never canceled an item in a preorder, but under each item in an order theres a button that says "cancel an unshipped item" or something like that.

AAHHHH!!! I'm screwed!!! Yesterday I had a Palm IIIc and a DVD (Dec 19 release) in my shopping cart and today I just got this e-mail...

"We thought you'd like to know that we shipped this portion of your order separately to give you the speediest service possible. Your remaining items will follow as soon as they're available."

I was charged for the Palm IIIc on my credit card!! damn. I guess I was lucky I had enough money. Oh, well. I was planning to sell it anyways. Look for it on eBay everyone!!
