Voodoo3 what?

Voodoo3 2000, 3000, 3500? Not worth much without a accurate description.

I swear I remember buying a 3500. But no where does it actually say. i threw out the box. Can't find the manuals, and don't have it installed. I hate to put it back ion just to find out. I'm a class a idiot. certified.

Let's just say it's a 3000.

Alrighty, the Voodoo3 3500 was an AGP only card if I am not mistaken that had a built in TV tuner like the ATI all-in-wonder card and hard to miss. The Voodoo3 2000 and 3000 are PCI and AGP based cards the difference in the two Core speed. The 2000 ran at 143Mhz core clock and the 3000 ran at 166Mhz clock.....I really don't think there is a visible difference in the two so basically it is a shot in the dark there. Good luck and a bump for you.

Voodoo3 2000 clocked at 143Mhz
Voodoo3 3000 clocked at 166Mhz
Voodoo3 3500 clocked at 183Mhz

These links contain pictures of the various Voodoo 3 cards:
http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=923&p=7
http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1010&p=3

Voodoo3 3500 came in AGP version only.

"Although the 3500 board we reviewed was an AGP version, the design could theoretically be put on a PCI card, whether or not 3dfx would think about something like that is another question. There are a number of factors that need to be taken into consideration if 3dfx is interested in pursuing such a venture. Designing a PCI 3500 would take engineering resources and time that would have to be more than justified by the demand for such a product, so 3dfx would have to investigate the demand for a $250+ PCI gaming card with support for video in/out. At the same time, a 5V PCI version would obviously generate more heat than a 3.3V AGP version, and with the already "toasty" nature of the 3500, a PCI version may pose some heat problems. It's up to 3dfx, but it is possible."

http://www.3dfx.com/downloads.htm download page would say pci/agp next to Voodoo3 3500 card.

I would have set the price Mr. Mod. However after not being able to find one on eBay to compare, my resorces dried up. I was thinking, and could be way off base here, like 30.- or 40. bones. If I'm not mistaken I got it for 150. when it was brand new.

Treated me fine as that goes. I have played all the most recent games on it. INcluding Operation Flashpoint, Max Payne, ect. Wasn't too bad at all.

No matter if it is a 2000 or a 3000 those are still great cards and a bump to you. I hear you when you say you paid $150 for it, I can remember just a year ago if even that I paid $150 for a 128mb stick of pc133 ram that you now can get for a bit over $20.....ugh.....depreciation is depressing.
