For Trade: Radeon 8500 for Ti200
I've got a Radeon 8500 that works great; the reason I need a GF3 Ti200 is because the professional OpenGL drivers for the 8500 aren't the best and I've been having compatibility issues with a CAD package called CATIA. I'm using a flat panel so I'd need a Ti200 that supports DVI-out. If anyone's interested please email me at tgeiger@purdue.edu.
Thanks, Trey |

If you're looking for Catia support, you probably want to be looking at the nVidia Quadro line, not the GeForce line.

Yes, the Quadro line would probably be ideal, but it's a bit out of my price range. The GF3 would still be better than the 8500, at least in terms of general driver support, wouldn't it? The 8500 is having all sorts of trouble just doing basic sketching functions, for example. Please correct me if I'm misleading myself...

No, you're correct. If cash is your issue, the GeForce line will do the job - nVidia drivers are MUCH better than the Radeon's for Catia.

There is a simple mod involving resistor soldering to turn a Geforce into a Quadro
