Wanted: Used Solaris workstation or HP-UX

I'm looking to get a hold of one or a few used Solaris and HP-UX workstations.
They don't necessarily need to be in working order. But must be repairable.

That's my price range exactly. I'm just looking to get some hardware to play with. Looking to use the Solaris OS to study for the Certifications. I'd appreciate any info you have.

well, i've seen alot on ebay lately...i have the luxury of having a goodwill computers (in pittsburgh) that i frequent, they usually have stacks of IPC/IPX's for 10 bucks a pop...but, if i were you, i'd start on ebay...also, i'm not 100% sure if the older suns will run newer versions of solaris well enough for you to accurately study for solaris certs...i was thinking about doing the same thing. my alternative, i have solaris for x86...gonna hook it up once i get my oracle certification out of the way...i'll post some links to systems for ya.

Well since I can't get a better description on it, I guess I might pay $50 and you pay shipping. Does that come with a SUN monitor?

it would cost over 50$ to ship a sparc and sun monitor... Those things are huge!

You're right. But only about $15 to ship a workstation.

I'm sticking to items I find local anyway. I hate shipping.
