I really should put down a price (according to the guidelines) but I have no idea myself what the price should be. It really varies (check out the prices on eBay).

I know there's not much time left. Do not try to low-ball and offer a really low price. If he can't sell it, he'll just go with some friends; no big deal. But if there's a tempting offer, of course, it's a deal! Cash only = hassle-free. He lives in the Sunset district in SF, but should be able to meet you anywhere in SF (besides Hunter's Point .. hahhaha).
