Tough call: DS Lite, PSP, or Wii

I am trying to decide what would be the best use of my $200 of best buy money. I am trying to decide which to get, a DS lite, a PSP or a Wii. Here is some background - I do travel a bit so portable may be useful I currently have a GBA SP. A DS lite seems to be a good choice since I already have some games and I can sell my GBA. But a PSP seems cool also... My most recent home system is an N64, which I barely play due to being married and all my friends are married too so I dont have anyone to play with. But maybe a wii will jumpstart my home playing.. Any suggestions...

If you are really spending that much time traveling and need something to occupy your time then go with one of the portables.

The Wii is a great system, but if you're spending all your free time at home with the wife then why buy another console that will just collect dust?

If you decide portability vs home console, don't even THINK of getting a PSP unless you want it to watch movies or something. The PSP's screen is great, but the console is lacking in some great games. The DS Lite doesn't have the home entertainment features that the PSP has, but it does what it's supposed to do, play great games.

Recently, there's a website that talks about this year's top 10 things to look forward to for each console. The PSP's list included a bunch of new developments related to downloading videos, price drops, and even the PSP2. The DS list contained 10 games.

well

kinda not true - there are some good games but

if you want a portable device that can -

Play tunes like and ipod AND full DVD movies as well as movies on the lil disc things get a psp -

I use mine all the time traveling - I won a 30 GB ipod and sold it - the screen is way to dinky to watch a moive but the psp is the perfect size - you can fit two full lenght movies and about 2 hours work of songs on a 4 GB duo card - enough for most domestic and euro flights!

oh and it plays games lol -

awesome.

There is also a new hack out that allows you to load any PS1 game on it. (Without owning a PS3) As long as you have an older version of the firmware or can downgrade it.

I don't have one, so I don't know how well it works though. Personally if you are looking for something that will keep having new games released for awhile, I'd go with the DS for a portable.

I just don't think the PSP is going to be around much longer.

PSP is a joke.

I personally would get the Wii but since you say you don't have enough time to really play at home and you travel often then go with the Nintendo DS lite.

The games for the DS are fun as hell and relatively inexpensive. I've flown like 4 times since buying my DS and it has made the flights go by SO much faster. Especially when I had 3 friends to play DS WiFi on the airplane with . Also, since you can just close the screen to pause the game at any time it makes it perfect for playing in short spurts.

DS or Wii. I love my DS. Would like a Wii, but my N64 (like you) will do for now.

DS Lite. If you're traveling, I assume you have a laptop if you want to watch a movie, right? Since you already have GBA games, you're good to go.
