GAH! Finally!
yeah... i got the wii on sunday. got to target about 45 min before they opened, and i was 16th out of around 30. =)
yay! it was my bday present to myself, and i'm finally part of the in crowd =P just thought you guys would like to know :-P

no line when I got mine
 Just walked into the Westminster Target oh Beach Blvd (by Lazy Dog) and they had like 5. This past sunday they had 3 instock around 2pm

I use amazon as my measure for how "available" the system is. The going price is currently $379 for a $250 system, so clearly the demand is still *very* high.
I got lucky at target. Asked at the counter, and they said that they just got some but hadn't shelved them yet.

The Wii has been available at some game store in a couple malls around here for at least a couple months. Every time I've gone in there they've been in stock (at least 6 of them).

Yeah, it's impossible to find a Wii around here. And good luck getting an employee to hold one for you. Best I have been able to do is get one to call when they get in.
