City of Heroes/Villians - Issue 9

For anyone who still cares (listens for the crickets chirping....)

Issue 9 dropped yesterday... so now there is a "crafting" element to COH/COV now. Pretty interesting and somewhat confusing I must say, but hey... I guess it will take some getting used to.

So is anyone else still playing COH/COV besides me? Just wondering.... I'm on the Justice server almost every night after 10:00 p.m. EST.

I played for a few months last year but it got too addicting. After i sold my computer for money to pay for the membership, i realized i didn't have a computer to play it on. game over...

I played it for the first month. Didn't really get it, or get into it. So I left. Haven't been back, same with Everquest II, Guild Wars, and others. Some of them hold my interest for more then a month, or I'll go back and visit every once in a while. EvE Online, Final Fantasy, and I forget what else.

Wow DF, you must really like the game!

I still play from time to time, but my cousin (who i let use my account) plays more.

maybe i'll start playing on Justice, but most of my time is on Liberty, Infinity, and Triumph.

Ummm yeah, I'd say that this statement was definitely true. (considering how much of my "free time" this game takes. )

You do realize that your characters are stored in the database and not on your PC. You just need to re-install the client and your character will be there waiting for you (unless you deleted it from their server as well.)

I saw that Fry's had COH/COV for like $6 per copy.... my mouth was like "wide open" seeing it that cheap.

I'm still playing my same MMO, EvE, though I know people who still play CoH/CoV. Like most games that have endured, they have been evolving and often the differences between the original and the current versions are like night and day. There are still new games coming out, most recently the new LOTR MMO. That one actually looks interesting, and I might be tempted if I didn't have major things happening in my life.

can't you download it off their website?

i gave issue 9 a shot this weekend. i hate to admit it, but the new loot/crafting element, the absence of which previously set COH/COV apart from the others, actually makes the game kinda fun in a different sort of way. i'd like to get myself some of those nifty new wings.

Yeah, I noticed that. Sheesh... I don't have that kinda money! I'm no power gamer!

Incidentally, are the "Recipes" for wings rare drops? I haven't gotten one yet (granted, I haven't played I9 for that long). Do you know who I have to go after to get one of those to drop?

blah....

Yeah.. they are rare.

You just have to keep beating on NPC mobs and hope you get one.

Honestly, I don't know.

I sure wish I could get some... so I can make a quick 25 Million on them.
