Not my type of game, but your first review is great!
The screenshots are awesome. I'm gonna show it to my hubby and he (thank you very much. ) may want to go out and buy the game.

Wait, the original NES title you are talkign about, was it Ghost and Goblins? Because if it was, that game FREAKING Rocked. The review seems a little short, but from the description the game looks pretty straight forward and not a lot to talk about. It totall seems like a rental game to me. Did you happen to beat it? If so, how long did it take?

Nice review of an awesome game
![]() Just a little nitpick that I'd like to point out since I'm what you'd call a HUGE fan of this game series and Maximo is THE reason I got a PS2 at last the very day Maximo got released to be able to play it -grin-. Maximo is actually the 4th game in the series. The first one was out on arcades and the NES as Ghosts and Goblins. Fun game, but nowhere near as amazing as the second one, Ghouls and Ghosts which was also out in arcades but the only home system to get it was the Sega Genesis (and actually the reason I bought the Genesis to start with :p). Now, the SNES had a sequel to Ghouls and Ghosts called Super Ghouls and Ghosts which many people may like as yes it was indeed a good game, but it horribly pales in comparison to the arcade and Genesis Ghouls and Ghosts, mostly due to botched gameplay issues (for instance losing the ability to fire your weapons up and down hurt the gameplay a lot and for a Ghouls and Ghosts veteran like me, that detail alone nearly destroyed the game in its entirety to me). Ok, that is all. Just had to chime in that detail . |
