Heroes IV Team Axed

"Heroes IV shipped on time and sold enough copies to claim the No. 3 spot in total sales its first week in release -- but 3DO still dismissed all but one member of the development team on Friday. Online website Celestial Heavens reports the Might & Magic team also suffered staff losses. California-based New World Computing lost nearly 30 people in the action. Concerns have arisen amongst fans of these titles about whether 3DO will resolve bugs in the Heroes IV and Might & Magic IX products. 3DO has not commented on the issue. New World Computing is a wholly owned subsidiary of 3DO."
