So.Cal Lan Party!!
With the release of Battlefield 1942 it has replaced my LANs main game of Quake 3 with Battlefield 1942. Ever since the BF1942 demo was released we have been spending 95% of our time with battlefield (demo>retail) 1942 and the other 05% of the time towards Quake 3 and other games that we used to play.
Here are some Pictures of two random weeks at the LANs that we have had to give you an idea of what it looks like. Random Week #1 Random Week #2 We get a average of 20-24 people signed up each week and the seats go fast! so sign up via our online sign up list to reserve your spot. The cover charge is just $10 and that covers the room that we rent to host our LANs at. The LAN starts EVERY weekend and it goes from noon on Saturday till 2am or later on Sunday. If you interested in the LAN we are located in Torrance California, approximately. 15 mins south of Los Angles. LOL I'll reply to these one by one.
1) Chicks do come, but hardly ever. That goes for nearly 99.9% of all LAN parties. For one, chicks don't play games as much as guys do. So thinking that a lot of chicks will comes to lans when there's not that many chick gamers to start is wrong. We used to have a regular azn girl that gamed with us, but she got a new boy friend and moved out of the area :/ 2) Beer is 101% okay, but we tend to drink stuff that is a little more hard. The reason that you don't see any pics of beer laying around is that most of us dispose of our bottles once we are done with it. It kind of gets hard to play when you have 10 cans of what ever on your desk  3) There is NO shortage of pr0n at this LAN party  **** most of us don't have a GF, so take a wild guess. Oh the same goes for demos and 30 day trials of software  4) If your not in the area then www.lanparty.com will help you with finding a LAN party. In the area that we are at we are the only weekly LAN party. Every now and then someone will do a 100+ppl LAN, but not on a regular basis. So if your in the area and you have no good plans for the weekend then stop on by. but first.... SIGN UP FIRST! We like having a rough idea of how many people will be showing up and we don't want more people then we can hold to sign up. So its for your own good to sign up. SEE YOU THIS WEEKEND!!! |
