Kelly Slater Pro Surfer

Got this a few weeks ago. I'd never played any of the "_____ Pro Athlete" series before, even Tony Hawk, so I was skeptical. Turns out the game rocks. The water graphics are amazing and the trick system is pretty good, I assume that its the same at Tony Hawk. The level goals are varied enough to make it interesting and the many levels are different enough to give it good replay value. I'm closing in on unlocking everything. If you liked Tony Hawk, definitly rent this one or if you have been wanting a good surfing game, buy it.

Hmm...I was thinking it would just plain suck, I mean whoever heard of a surfing video game? But if it plays similar to Tony...I'll at least rent it and check it out.

I may be biased (considering the fact that I worked on it) but it's actually a really good game. I totally understand the sentiment behind "who's ever heard of a surfing game", must less a good one.

But Kelly is definitely a step in the right direction, look out for KSPS 2. Well, not for a while at least, but it's gonna blow your mind. Or so we hope. =)

What's a DDRMAX?

Tiger Woods Golf? BAH! Only sissies play golf!

Vice City! BOO YEAH! I can't wait to play it! I'll have to lock the kids in a closet for a few weeks but it will be worth it! Well worth it for me...the kids might revolt later.

I was skeptical too. The last decent surfing game was T & C Surf And Skate Safari on the NES. The screen shots of Kelly Slater looked good but I was still unconvinced. Then I saw it in action at the local Planet X store. They have it on a big vega tv and I was blown away by the graphics. I bought it then and there.
