1/2 Life Mod: Natural Selection
So has anyone played this new mod?
I think it's a lot of fun... pretty much like the movie Aliens if you've seen it. They call it a Action RTS type game. I'm addicted to it atm! Well back to playing! |

I played it along with passwird but we couldn't find a server with a decent ping. Played it for about 30-40 min with 900-2000 ping nonetheless. It's pretty fun and has a great concept behind it.

yea its great fun, posted it on games page while ago....been playing it for a while as it is lot better than cs and dod w/ a more strategic element attached to it...

Ah yes so I went to a LAN party this weekend and got a lot of game time with this mod.
The game is unbalanced, they seriously need to make the aliens stronger. A marine freshly spawned can take out a sulk easily, even with a pistol. Also with a good commander there is NO way for the aliens to do anything. The gun turrets and that sonic cannon thing is waay to devastating even to distant objects. I bit this marine like 5 times in the butt and he turned around and killed me in like 2 seconds. I was sad...  Oh and then there's this one part where 4 of us rush a marine and he took us all out.It gets repetitive after a while, I kick ass as a marine though. |

what??? you dont know how to do ALIEN then!!! me and my friends raped the marines over and over again! you need to swarm the marines correctly...JUMP onto them, and then bite thier heads off, me ran up to 3 marines, and killed all 3, got hurt only little bit! *sigh*

Anyone still playing this game? It's on steam now and has a new version to it, the "COMBAT" version which is basically deathmatch/CTF

I played NS ALOT when is came out, but the server I played on/admin of kinda died out. There is a lot more A holes it seems in NS than CS, but that is just because you rely on them more.
