Metroid Prime

i played a demo at a local electronic boutiqe, and i was BLOWN away. sure i was only able to play for about 10 minutes but that was enough to convince me... i was skeptical about it being first-person but after playing games like counter-strike for so long, the view easily became second nature. the controls were a bit hard to get used to but i'm confident that after an hour or two, i should get the hang of it. heh.

its scheduled release is monday 11/18. if you own a GC, this is definitely a "must have" title. i only wish i had 1)money to buy it and 2)time to play it.

BAH! Forget your silly little fund! Donate to the "AP needs the Metroid game so he doesn't freak out and do something silly like play 48 hours of Karate Bikini Babes fund"!

If you've ever seen that game you know you can go blind after a few minutes alone. Die of boredom shortly afterwards because hitting ONE button over and over again holds no thrill whatsoever!

There sure is!! Bikini Karate Babes!! Sorry no naked chicks in this game...

It's one of the lowest rated games ever. Sighted for having crappy graphics, no sound whatsoever, and a fighting system that makes solitaire look like an action game! I found the game in a clearance bin and thought the guys and I would get a laugh out of it at a LAN party...we didn't even giggle at it. This game has no value at all! Heck I'm mad I blew $1.99 on the stupid thing! I turned it into a nice coaster for my drinks though...

Now I just gotta find a good deal on a GC.. i think walmart had a deal for 149.00 comes with memory card and mario sunshine.. think I need to jump in on that one.

err.. my bad.. 189.. i thought I saw something somewhere with a nice phat deal for this.. guess I gotta keep looking.. I got like 10 days before the game will get to my door and I really have to worry about it..

I got it! I own it! I have Metroid Prime! Now if I can just find the time to play it...too many jobs to work today! BAH! Friday though, no jobs to work! Friday is all about Metroid baby! YEAH!

I sit here staring at the package that contains the sweet goodness that is Metroid and it hurts a bit knowing it will be another day before I can spin that disk and game away!

Now reading all the reviews that have hit just about any site you go to, it would appear that they like this game more than breathing. I say this for they talk up the game so much I'm sure it's being done all in one breath!

Anyone get a change to play the full game yet? Any first impressions to share at all?

a good friend got me the game as an early christmas present...

the first thing i noticed about the game was the sound. it is EXCELLENT! i wish i had a nice home theater system set up to my gamecube to take full advantage. of course, the visuals are incredible as well. as i was playing, it was evident that nintendo put in A LOT of time and effort creating this game. i too wish i had more time to play but, so far, i like what i'm seeing.

now, i gotta find a person w/ a GBA and metroid fusion to unlock the original metroid...!!!

I was told by a guy at gamestop that on metroid prime, you can unlock Super Metroid (my favorite metroid ATM)..

I still haven't purchased a gamecube (waiting for the black friday sale at target so I can get super mario sunshine too for 149.00)

That's cool to me.. 3 games for the price of a game cube +1 game.. happy christmas to me!!

You really should get the Cube if your going to buy the games...

Metroid Prime looks and sounds great! Eye poping great! Game play is a little tought to get use to. I keep wanting to look around using both analog sticks and keep forgeting to hold down the L or R buttons to do it. I'm completely lost and think I'll need a cheat guide so I have a good map to get me out of wherever the heck I am now but this is one heck of a game! Can't stop playing it! In fact stop bugging me I realy must go back and play more!!!

This is seriously one of the greatest games ever created! This game (and not Mario or Zelda) is THE game that should cause more people to buy a GameCube than any other. It's just THAT good! Two enthusiastic thumbs way up!
