commander keen anyone?

this is totally random, but i was posting and my eyes happened to quickly skim over my rank of "commander," which then led my brain to recall this old computer game called Commander Keen...

anybody else play this back in the day? it was sorta mario-esque, and i think it was one of the only games that would run on my old computer... anyway, it was loads of fun... just thought i'd share a bit of personal nostalgia with yall...

I remember that - that was one of the first successes of id software & was one of the earlier games from John Romero & John Carmack, soon followed by Duke Nukem & Doom. (Why, yes I am a big computer geek. Why do you ask?)

Duke Nukem was the best multiplayer game of its time... you could connect two machines over a regular 28.8 modem and play with no lag whatsoever. I remember being really disappointed with the multiplayer performance of Quake after playing DN.

btw, if you like old games check out the home of the underdogs. great site with lots of games and they keep it legit (legit by abandonware principals) so you dont have to worry about being unethical
