There was just a Morrowind expansion released, and Neverwinter Nights expansion came out yesterday. Add Rise of Nations to that and I don't know what more you want.
I suppose some console games would be nice, but I prefer to play good games with nice graphics. ![]() |

Playing Rise of Nations now actually...and a little D2...
hmm...I guess you're right, but normally it's fairly quiet during the summer in terms of game releases. And how did I end up with being a console guy? I play games on PC as well as console. I'm just a gamer. ![]() Hmm...I should go play RON now ![]() |

I wasn't trying to label you a console gamer, I was trying to label myself as not a console gamer.

uh huh...yeah...EAT MY NUCLEAR MISSLES!!!! speaking of Ron, how do you play? I'm more of the economic guy so I build up my economy until I research most of the tree, building castles and a minimal army for defenses. By that time, I should have enough income to support making tons of troops and I go overwhelm the badguy, using about 5 missle silos to take out strategic buildings like barracks and any other unit producers. I love missles, and I only use Nuclears on their capital or some really dense area. I love RON. It's an amazing game ![]() |

It's a mini-me clone of Empire Earth. They took the general Empire Earth scheme and reduced everything so the games take less then 3 hours, and streamlined the interface and resources. Altogether, they did a great job.

I play similar to you. I think the Romans work best for that strategy due to their cheaper costs for Forts and Towers. I usually build some barracks with my extra money when I have idle villagers because you get a free heavy infantry unit. I build the Terra Cotta army asap because by the time I'm ready to build a massive force I have my large infantry already done thanks to the terra cotta, not to mention they units it makes are free so I don't have to worry about making units for defense while its there. I dont like nuclear missles or air power, I think it imbalances the game. I tend to cap the tech tree at Industrial age.

You're prolly right about the nukes. I like the Armageddon thing, but I would rather the nukes had some very negative effect on production/civics of the nation that launches them. (Hmm...)
The graphics/style of the nukes are the best of any game that I have played though. |

Hmm...I forgot about Terra Cotta...I have this mindset like in Age of Empires where wonders are so rare. In this game it seems like you should be building a wonder past like the iron age or something...
i need to learn how to use wonders more often... |
