Madden 2004

It's DEFINATELY in the game.

I've played a bunch of the xbox version and it rocks. The realism of this one puts 2003 to shame. For one thing, on pro i threw 3 ints, and I've been playing the madden games for 6 years. It's great! Now you have to read the coverage and look for openings. Sooo fun

Btw for Xbox owners, the Xbox version has a huge bug that prevents importing NCAA 2004 roster imports. They're working on it and will be releasing replacement discs.

how is the PC version?

i have a PS2 but it doesn't work in it...sony says i have to send it in to get fixed (free) but the turn around time is 30 days!

i'd consider the PC version if its close to as good as the PS2 version

I have no idea...

can't you return it to where you bought it? It is defective and stores will allow exchanges when it's defective.

I did read in passing on some madden board that a lot of gamepads weren't recognized on the PC version. But I didn't read the thread.

I played the game today for the first time. I have to say it's really sweet. Usually each year they step up the coolness just a bit, but 2004 they went all out. I really like the the ability to control the offense and defense during a play and move around my coverage. The owner box options are really cool. It is becoming like a Sims type, with more options. I bought 2003, but I might spring and get 2004. I heard that for X-box you can download music for the game.

Boy is this game fun. I've been messing around with it all weekend long. Its great. You can move your franchise from one city to another, rename them, change the stadium, sell naming rights, change uniforms, etc...best sports sim made.
One thing i don't like is the coaching mode...every other play i call, my QB gets sacked to death. I think its a bug.

I seem to get sacked a lot when calling play action. Its like one of the defensive players never buy it and the offensive line doesnt pick him up.

My quarterbacks are more like statues than Vicks. Hell, Vick with a broken leg is still faster than my current qbs.

or maybe your OL isn't all that great?
I personally feel that the AI on Madden 2k3 is much better. The game is also less buggy.

2003 or 2004?

I feel like the game is a bit better in 2004.

The AI especially in pass coverage is way better in Madden2k4. You really have to be careful and throw exactly the right moment on all madden level. I find myself throwing more passes away just to avoid interceptions or sacks.

BTW, my offensive line is pretty good with most of them being 90+.

I find my OL being a joke. Most of them are in the high 80s, but I still find myself having to roll out of the pocket because they don't provide me with enough protection.
