Splinter Cell Pandoras Tomorrow

Just tried the demo for the single player. Haven't tried the online multiplayer yet. I don't know if it is just the demo, but my frames per second seem very slow. I have a Radeon 9700 nonpro. The two levels were pretty easy- having played the first Splinter cell several times. The sounds are really good. I don't think I got the best results on the graphics- again it may just be the demo. Light and shaddow were very important in the first one. They do create an interesting atmosphere- the first level is on a train in France and the second is in an Asian jungle. I am sure there is much more in the full game. I just got back to work so I do not have the money to buy it yet. With hope that there is more to it than the demo shows, I think it will be a very good game. Anybody try the real deal yet?

Looks like they have a patch already for the Xbox version and the multiplayer demo, but not the full PC version or the singleplayer demo. Multiplayer seems pretty good (first game I have tried this with) but all the controls are different from the single player so I need to learn how to use those. I get killed pretty often.

I picked it up on the XBOX over the weekend. It's a lot of fun, but feels much easier than Splinter Cell. I haven't really tried the multiplayer component . . . I'm not really much of an online player at all.

I started playing it yesterday. I've only done the first couple of missions. Man the graphics are so cool on the computer (I played the first one on XBox). I don't know about it being easier than the first one. Still seems a tad hard to me, but then again I am not a huge fan of stealth games and I had been playing vice city for the past couple of weeks ****ing **** up.

I updated my video card drivers and now the frame rate seems better. I still have just the demo, but now I want the full game!

I finally got the full version. As usual, fantastic visuals and a good story line to guide you through. Sounds are more textured. There are more weapons (most of which I did not need) and some new manovers (which you do). I was addicted and spent a full three days (sometimes until 4:00 in the morning) playing all through the single player. It seemed easier than the first one which had a couple parts I had a really hard time figuring out how to get through (but maybe it seemed easier since I knew better how to play). It is supposed to be STEALTH so I will play again and try not to kill so many people (that will make it harder). There were a few scenes with many lighting layers where my framerates seemed a bit slow on my ATI 9700 non pro (played at max resolution for my monitor 1280X1024). There were definately times when I was thinking "wow- this is cool!" I do recommend it.

I wonder if it's better on the PS2 or PC.

what's the cheapest this game was/will-be sold? (and how can i get it for that price?)

some college friends want the game to train (haven't played the original before) and then multiplayer so i assume we all need real software? please respond or pm if you know possible runarounds.

last question, i'm not expecting top graphics, but will the game be decently playable with a dell p4 1.8, 512ddr, and (cringe) geforce MX420?

==not too much money to spend, thus my above question. i've been eating ramen as snack for a lonnnnng time now. poor college student==

thanks in advance!

I was hunting for a deal on the game and the best I could find was at Newegg: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...138-122&depa=6

It is harder for me going from the single player to the multi player because the action controls are not the same. I get killed often.

You can download demos through the links here: http://www.splintercell.com/us/downloads.php#finanim

The single player has two levels and the multiplayer has one level. Of course the demos are free! I am too cheap to buy but a few games so I usually download demos until I tire of them and then try another one.

hrm...i never knew there was such a thing as multiplayer demo. does that mean if my friends and i all get the same demo, we can find each other on a server and play on the supplied stage? (i played dust in CS 85% of the time anyway)
