Hitman : Contracts

I just rented this game the other night from Blockbuster and have put about 3 hours into it. So far, I'm not too impressed. The graphics are decent and the gameplay is easy enough, however so far it seems like very little more than gratuitous violence. Although reading through the manual it says that there are ways to "sneak" around situations without setting off alarms, I have not been able to find it yet. Like I said I have only put in a couple of hours so I need a few more to truly get the experience, but so far,

Is anyone else playing this game at the moment?

Yes, I've played and finished this.

Well, as for the gratuitous violence. It doesn't have to be there, if you try to play as a "professional". Complete stealth is required.

However, they do allow for endless carnage if you choose to take that route instead. In any case, I've enjoyed the series so far and I was hoping for another evolution of the game. But in the end, there wasn't much change from the last version. Still fun but definitely looking for more innovation.

I played it. I dont know if its just me, but a lot of the game seems recycled like Ive played the exact same level before. Where does this story take place in the hitman timeline? I never played hitman 2 so if anything is the same it comes out of the first game.

The point of the game isnt the gratuitous violence. Youre actually supposed to keep a low profile and not kill anyone that that doesnt have to be killed to complete the mission.

The game seemed pretty easy for me. I dont remember what the difficulty levels there were, but i played on the one under professional. I finished up to level 10 with silent assasin, but at level 11 it went all bad. I couldnt figure it out so I decided to just take everyone out. Then level 12 got HARD. I couldnt even finish it before I took it back to blockbuster.

BTW, to sneak, you just crouch and walk at the same time. You can walk right up to or behind a person that way and you wont get noticed as long as you stay out of sight.

No. Actually. I call myself a connoisseur. I was kinda bored with the Hitman games-each map seemed like more of the same, so I never gave the third game a chance.

The game takes places immediately after the end of the last one (which I didn't play). Apparently, you're in the same hospital, with the same map and all. There was an effort made by the developers to set it up that way.
