Guild Wars: Did anyone do the E3 demo?

I did, and loved every minute. It is high on my purchase list! A MMORPG with no online fee. Works for me!

VERY fun game so far -- I'm definately applying for the beta test when they announce it, and will buy the game when it comes out.

Ah finally an MMORPG without a monthly fee. This is what I've been waiting for. Even if the game's just mediocre I'm on board. Finally a game without the extra cost that kept me from playing FFXI, World of Warcraft, Everquest, Star Wars Galaxies, City of Heroes, Dark Age of Camelot...

Yea, I played the e3 demo. Beat the whole thing first day.

Loved the game, great concept, specially the involvement w/ the npc's, although I know eq2 will top it for sure.

The monthly fee deal: Was talking to a few people whom said that of course there will be no monthly fee charge, however! Every three months, there will be an expansion...which will be 50 bucks. Now, most mmorpg's are 12 a month x's 3 = 36 bucks for 3 months...this is 50 per expansion.

Of course you wont have to get each expansion, but Its like playing Dark Age without Trials of Atlantis and expecting to win in a pvp battle..

I will mostlikely be getting this game tho, I need something to hold me down till Eq2. WoW pvp sounds awesome if you havn't read up on it..sounds like defense of the ancients style

I thought I beat it all first day. But read they introduced new stuff on Friday (which I missed while on vacation). I doubt they would charge $50 for each expansion. Most likely in the $30 range. So want to play now that I destroyed my Far Cry game disk.

Ah the quarterly expansion thing. Terrible. That's what killed my Magic: The Gathering addiction in elementary school haha. Not worth the money to keep up with it. Maybe I'll just play without the expansions (ghetto yes, but I don't expect to dedicate TOO much time to it anyway).

wow that looks pretty cool, didn't read everything but would you have to get the expansions in line? or could you mix and match the expansions you want? cuz I don't think I would want to be behind everybody all the time
