PC game review sites

Where do people go to hear about the latest games being released? All i know is ign.com and i hate their little ads and pay to see tactics.

Ummmm, gamefaqs.com? If you have a specific game in mind, you can usually find reviews for them. I don't game on my PC anymore, because I've got a dinosaur, but you could always check out gamespot, too.

If you care most about when new games get released, www.gonegold.com is ok.

I usually just check out www.gogamer.com and goggle games that look interesting

i usually just go to gamespy.com or gamespot.com plus, i always take reviews with a grain of salt. different people have different tastes, and there are many different games, so

I periodically check gamespot.com (actually xbox.gamespot.com so i can skip a couple steps and go straight to the xbox reviews). Most of their stuff is accessible with the free account, but some video clips are pay only (so poo on that).

EB Games, Blockbuster, half.com, or ebay...I never pay retail for a game, unless it's Final Fantasy.

I usually buy my games online with a coupon or the occasional time when theres a deal at a B&M store.

I dont buy that many game a year, so I usually get in on amazons christmas time buy 2 get one free deal. Whenever I think about it, most games arernt usually worth more than a week or 2 rental. Thats usually $3 a week per game max.

EB Games usually (mostly for the locality, and once in a while they toss stuff in for pre-orders), occasionally KB Toys if the prices are lower. Sometimes Target if the price is right. The only thing I hate about EB Games is their propensity to pass used games off as new. (This is not for new releases of course.) They say something about them having to get the game from the back, and then they come back with an un-shrink-wrapped case and the game... which could clearly be used... but they expect you to pay the new price. Ridiculous. Oh and EB Games prices their older games pretty high (you can do better elsewhere), but the new releases are always competitively priced (paid $40 for Metal Slug 3 right after its release, for example).

I know you're past asking for review sites, but this site has a database of the other sites and readers rank the reviews of the different sites.

also try www.bluesnews.com, they usually have a lot of information everyday.

gonegold is a really good read, but I have trouble finding recent news that isn't posted on their front page...all their sections seem out of date. anyone know where they hide all their info?

Amazon has good sales on games and Frys usually has good 1st or 2nd week prices on a lot of hot games.
