Huge Doom 3 improvement tip

I got this from PlanetDoom:
PlanetDoom Thread
It involves unpacking the pak4 files with WinRAR onto the HD. I was running 800x600 with Medium details and still getting lots of stuttering, low FPS,etc. Now the stuttering is gone, I am playing at 1024x768 w/ high details and barely any noticeable slowdowns. Incredible. The thread gives details how to do this..I hope it works for you!

This will help people whose slow cpu is holding them back. If you have a slow video card this won't likely help at all.

I have a p4 2.4..I guess that qualifies as a slow CPU nowadays..I also have a 9800 Pro..I have been hearing alot about the supposed miracle tweak of the seta image_cacheMegs setting for people with lower end video cards..setting it to like 96 or 128..I didn't notice much of a diff for me..

Tried it out, seems to work pretty well. I only have 512MB ram and a 2500+ (OC'd to 2800+) and this reduced the stuttering I was experiencing.
