I only have a 56k dialup here
 , and I noticed you are operating on the PST time zone... I'm on the east coast, will my pings be really bad? |

It might be... Ping www.gotapex.com and see what kind of latency you get.

I think 56k is sufficient for Q3A. But the lower the latency, the more to your advantage.

Actually the GotApex? server is not the one being utilized so it is hard to say as we are using a third party server that is very stable.

too bad.......... im on the east coast but i was still pinging 100 to gotapex server. can u post where the games will be played, im curious as to what my ping will be. Thanks.

well, the gotapex.com server is located in florida. i hope you east coast peeps have low pinsg to it .. mine are around 300 .. pretty pathetic because my cable modem sucks serious ass.

Yes but lets say you have two person of equal skills. One on a 56k dial up and one on a T1. Who has the advantage? Of course the T1. |

Oh this is going to be fun........and yes 56k modems do have a chance, a bit of a small one though.......but the closer you are to the server da better.....

Its all about the ping, i know i am a lpb and it has helped me tremendously since i have got my new connection. not to say that hpb's are bad ive seen quite a few that can hold their own, but agains a severe latency defernce? comon

hehe....I thought it was gonna be bad, but even with a 400ping, I actually got a few kills with the gauntlet. (after ammo was depleted)...and I need to find better cooling for my videocard
Good game though. |
