Got Apex Moderator

Alright Here is the list folks. First things first... You must log in with the user name listed here or you will be booted. The matches start promptly at the time stated.
You will be receiving an e-mail either tonight or early tomorrow that will have the server IP and your password that you must enter to play. Here is how you will have to go about entering your password in Quake III in case you don't know:
)k, once you are in Q3A press the ~ key to get to the console, then type /password xxxx where xxxx is the password. Then join a multiplayer server specifying the IP address you received as the server address.
If the server says its full, that just means that you entered the password incorrectly. Additionally everyone MUST have the point release installed because we will be running a pure server.

Each of the preliminary Heats will be 30 frags or 15 mniutes which ever comes first.

It was originally stated that the tournament would begin on FRIDAY, but now that you've moved it, I can't make it... Thanks a lot... Maim and I have switched spots, so if either of us advance, do you think you could correct our names and e-mail addys after the qualifying rounds are over? As it is, we both get to play, but we have to use our opposite names, and e-mails about the next round would go to the wrong person...

DARTH-MAUL can you PLEASE respond!??@? I was just playing and winning 33 to 17 when it said, "Connection Interrupted" I stayed connected for 30 minutes until it cleared up but it just kicked me to the main screen. Anywho, what the hell happened? Who won!?? Geez, I knew I was going to win and then that happens. I've never been so pissed. Lag my ass.

Yeah, I was second and so by the posted rules would have also advanced. Darth and ook (?) said the heat would be replayed. That I like since apparently it started early and you had about 9 frags when I got there. Anyway, enjoyed playing and I hope we can get these nigglin technical things out of the way.

Yeah, it was fun and it's all good since they noticed the lag thing and advanced us. I'm happy : )

I think that advance for lag thing is kinda lame. Should have just had a rematch instead. I had the connection interupted thing like 3 times while I was playing. All in the beginning too. And it gave another player 3 kills cuz he killed me while I was frozen. I still won overall (besides ook just obliterating me), but it wasnt lag from the server. As far as I can tell it was a ping from the server to my machine. My problem was because I have a protection that lagged me up because the server pinged me and never got a response so it kept pinging me over and over. Best bet is to turn off protection (and virus programs) while you play. Some places on the internet will tell you that virus scanners and the like are good culprits for lag.
