yeah the only time i roll on a valor set is if there is no warrior there or if he already has it. Usually in guild raids only so its pretty well organized and we know what people have/need. I've passed on lightforge items before when a friend of mine needed only 1 or 2 more pieces for the set.

I actually don't have any LF set parts yet, haven't gotten around to raiding all that much. If that were to happen in my guild I or the guild leader would definately lay the smack down on the person that did it.

Valor could be used by a paladin but Lightforge is better, so it is the general concensus that Valor = warrior and lightforge = Paladin.

oooh but yesterday i found a Destiny sword

I always thought Paladins were the ultimate tank... depending on if you spend talent points in protection. Warrior and Pally both wear armor, but do Warriors have better protection buffs than Pally's?

Paladins can do just fine tanking 1 mob, protection specced or not. But the thing is we have no real taunt. consecration is a good aoe thing to get them all to attack you but if you lose argo then you really don't have any way to taunt them back to you.

Warriors are great at tanking multiple mobs and taunting enemies to get them off other people. Also a lot of times the paladin is a back up healer, so it makes it difficult to do that if you are also being the tank.

Warriors are pretty gimped right now unfortunately. They were gods in beta, along with mages, but the devs put a nerf stick where the sun don't shine.

I'm using a mage...and really hoping that at some point they get a little more powerful. It kinda sucks that any decent enemy only takes a few hits to kill me.

I'm going to be making another character soon, and I'm considering Rogue, Hunter, Druid, and Warlock. Any suggestions?

mages are unfortunately pretty weak. They are squishies as i like to call them, 1 or 2 hits and dead.

They used to be gods of beta, when they had the invisiblity spell. But a lot of changes hurt them, the 5 sec mana regen after casting rule sucks.
the problem i had with mages was the downtime... sooo much downtime after every battle. They can do good damage, but snap like a twig and always have to drink water to get mana back. So slow.

If you are making a new char i would suggest Rogue or hunter. Druids are rather weak atm and should be getting some fixes in a century or two, same with warlocks. Well warlocks are powerful just hard.

rogues are great and a lot of fun (my alt is a rogue and its a blast). I love stealthing and pick pocketing and then ambushing.
Hunters do good damage and you have your pet to tank for you. I was just not into the whole pet thing, their AI is a bit quirky at times, same with warlock.

Ever try playing a priest? I can't solo anything...in fact, I haven't been able to solo since level 40. I'm level 47 now and had to actually leave my guild because the guildies at my level were almost useless and there weren't nearly enough. I joined another guild where the majority of the players are within 3 levels of me so we can all quest together and get to 60 together.

I'm a hunter and I take for granted that I can pretty much solo anything. My pet (KingB) kicks ass and overall it's a lot of fun IF you use your pet and long range damage and don't consider yourself a melee expert (I've seen hunters who melee only).

However be aware that in the end game it will be hard to find parties. This is because there are ton of hunters and their role is not well known among other classes. Hunters are meant to pull and/or be consistent DPS dealers (depending on your idea of a hunter). However, other classes consider rogues to be DPS dealers and Warriors as pullers.

My next character is going to be a horde priest, just so I can heal everyone.

heh yeah priests fall into the same catagory, squishies with a lot of downtime.

But priests are in high demand, if you can make it to lvl 50 you will almost never have a hard time finding people for an instance.

I've heard shadow priests can solo pretty well though, but i never played mine past 11, switched to a rogue and liked it much better.

That's not true. I re-specced to shadow around level 25 and though I can kill things that are my level, I can't handle more than 1 guy at a time. Also, I use about 1900 mana to kill one guy my level. I only have 3900 mana. So after 2 kills, I need to drink waters.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add. Mind Blast will cause you to aggro every single enemy in a very large radius. So whenever I use that in an instance or with mobs, I have everything chasing me.

Took me 10 days to get to lvl 44. That's 10 days of playing time (240 hours )

But really, don't think of this as a lvl grind. Just have fun with the quests and environments. If you are concerned about leveling you'll miss out on the fun.

Is this game back on sale again? I know they pulled it because the servers were overcrowded.

Smokey: Just check around, some stores still have it so it never really stopped being on sale. It's just that inventories got low. But when I got mine a month ago there were about 6 on the shelf at the crowded Best Buy.

Red Pheonix (I think your user name is misspelled, it's phoenix): It's just a freaking huge game. It cannot be bug free. I think blizzard is doing a great job with the technical support and patches, though I think their level of detail in communications needs to be better. For me, it has never froze and I've never gotten dropped, though I've had many issues of loot lag and so forth. If you want to see a buggy game, get Kotor 2

Yeah, despite all the warnings I heard about server problems, the game being hard to find, etc. I haven't had any difficulty with it, other than the (sometimes frequent) lagging on loot, resurrecting, etc.

I've kinda pushed my mage to the side and started up a new druid. Anyone else played a druid yet? I'm enjoying it.

I've played with druids (have 2 in my guild). They are multi talented. On pmoore, our druid was our primary healer (we had a hunter, warrior, rogue, pally). On our new server SC, our druid acts as a damage dealer and tanks for me I catch aggro (priest).

It's a versitile class. That underwater form is neat (but ugly) since you don't need potions.

they are buffing the crap out of shaman next patch, giving druids some decent cat for attack, and fixing a load of item bugs and proc. issues. also adding dire maul in feralas, 55-60 instance. looks fun .

im looking to reroll on a new realm, looking for people on alliance and a pvp server. unless someone can explain to me why so many play normal.

since druid cat form will have a form of evis.

I have a lvl 45 druid on Draenor. Druids are fun... at this level, I can solo quite well. But I must say that I don't use my animal forms as much as I should.

Probably because I did not spend my talent points on them. I might re-spec one of these days to see what it's like.

Just started up a hunter as well. Lvl 13 and having loads of fun.

Somewhere down the road, I will have to find a pvp server.. =)
