Nooo! Must resist! So tempting...

I'd like to but juggling three characters with three sets of folks has been hard. It's too bad Blizz couldn't make a single realm everyone played on (like one per continent). Makes me envious of the time I spent playing Eve online. Player base is so much bigger w/ WoW that it would have probably made a single realm impossible.

On a side note, I don't think Maarchk has posted in a while. If there aren't any updates in the next day or two I can start up a new WoW id thread and will maintain it as long as I can.

Blah faced Majordomo Executus last night (last boss we need to defeat before spawning Ragnaros). Man he is a pain in the butt. You can't kill him, you have to kill his 8 friends first... ugh it is quite the battle.
Going to try again tonight, then take a break to kill onyxia (about 30 min) then go back for more.

I do smithing and mining. It is a waste until you get to very high levels with it. Then you can sell the weapons you make for big cash.

I'm really thinking about switching. I'm a Rogue so I can't really use the Smithing stuff and it doesn't seem like I ever really will be able to use anything except the Heartseeker. That's a LONG ways away and going to be a bitch to find the materials. None of the non-blue weapons seem to sell at the AH either.

The way I see it, I can just not have manufacturing profession. Just go like Herbalism/Mining and sell everything at AH and use the money to buy good items.

bwahahaha

If you have:
50 Thorium Bars (about 12g)
15 Arcanite Bars (about 500g)
4 Guardian Stones (who knows)
6 Enchanted Leather (who knows)
10 Essence of Earth (who knows)

YOU SHOULD BE SELLING THAT JANK FOR GOLD (mats for Hammer of the Titans). No sense in wasting hundreds of gold's worth of materials to make a weapon that has a high req. level and is only going to sell for a couple hundred gold.

I wasted 100g to push my blacksmithing up to 300, then I realized how pointless it is with the economy as of now.

Eng/Miner here and it's fun to use the tools! But yeah, the materials sell better than combined items.

to answer someone's question, yes we use a system similar to DKP. Points for attendance, then you spend those points on items.

Larger Shot
Ragnaros - Final Boss in MC.

We faced him the other night, got him down to 63%... he's tough, but not too tough, we will kill him soon. and i am sure once we get it down it will be easy just like Onyxia is now. We kill her in under 30 minutes.

Battlegrounds look reallly fun though!! next patch! wooo, should be here in another week or 2.

I'm a 60 warlock on Cenarius. Warlocks are alright, they just need some lovin' in the endgame Definitely not a solo-pvp class, but devastating in a group.

only problem with warlocks is the lack of ANY escape methods.

damage is fine though

Here are some screenshots from our raid tonight:

Whoever said Paladins can't heal, just peep the healing meter in the last shot

I'm a bit peeved... with all my work to get Shamanwear and other healing necessities (and it payed off) to help keep everyone alive in our run, not one, but TWO Lawbringer Bracers dropped... and guess who didn't get either? They're not that great, but it would have been a nice way of my guild to say "thank you" for the work I put in. Am I wrong not to anticipate getting one of the two?!

/me goes crazy over nothing

between pallys and dorf priest, MC is pretty trivial.

clense > purge
fearward > wotf

magmadar is sooooo much easier when the MT doesnt even have a chance of being feared.

though getting 40 people on the same page is a feat within itself

repairbot? someone was having problems with the 5 corehound pulls

I had to buy a new laptop to fit everyone on the screen -- 1920x1200 resolution ^^

We ended up not beating Lucifron -- we had 20 people alive or so when we got it down to just him, and most of our mages were dead, so they couldn't take off the spells-cost-100%-more curse. Got him down to 23% I think. Not bad for our first time and only 33 people IMO

ahh i remember the first Luci Battles. Well just getting over that bridge was annoying. Decursing/cleansing is really key

If you don't have it allready you should use CTRaidAssist

http://www.ctmod.net/downloads.ct

Basically lets you show the entire raids health and you can set a button to cleanse/decurse. Makes my job as a healbot/cleansebot easier.

If ya need any strategy suggestions for Luci or Mag lemme know.

We are starting again tonight, will probably kill Luci, Mag, Gehennas, Garr, Baron. Then friday do Shazzrah, Sulfuron, Golemag. Sunday do Domo and head to Rag. Got him down to 30% last week.

loot wise i got Lawbringer Bracers and Helm of the lifegiver one run, first upgrades in a while. Then next boss a big ol 2h mace i wanted dropped but i had just spent many of my points on those 2 items so i missed out.

We don't have a points system... just who the "council" thinks deserves it, which is kind of crappy in some ways. I think a lot of it is turning out for the guild raids (which I made about half) and helping other people's alts level up. Well I'm usually busy running DM/Baron to get my healing gear to prepare for MC, so we can actually survive enough to get these epics, and I get squat. That's my take on it. The bracers aren't that big of an improvement, so I'm trying not to get bent out of shape

How many mages would you recommend having for Lucifron? We had 4 total, wasn't enough to get curses off...

we have dkp but i already got the belt, the only part i wanted, before dkp im just saving so i can gank the staff of dominance when it drops.

i already have +235 shadow that will give me about the same but more int/stm and i can get spellpower for it.

i totally cut my playing down, i just do the MC runs and then its off to bed or whatever.

yeah getting a loot system that everyone agrees upon is tough. That probably one of the major issues that comes up. But ours is a simplified DKP type system, we are adding more onto it each week.

Basically get attendance points for showing up to raids, then items cost points. Different for each type of set item etc. Then we have a tier based system for who can get the item. So every 10 points is a tier, so anyone 10 points or less below the highest person who wants it can roll for it. Usually 2-3 people or if you save up you are guaranteed the item since you are like 20 points ahead.

http://www.nasher.us/wow/Breakdown.htm

Is a rough breakdown of our loot so far, working on making the formatting better and adding graphs etc.
