this is how ours works:

20 points for being at the raid
5 points for being early/on time
10 points for defeating a boss

boe class items have a 6 point minimum bid
bop class items have a 20 point minimum bid

all other drops are bid up from 6

How do you handle people with a negative amount of points? I understand that is the major problem of the system.

I informally proposed it, and I heard many guilds have problems with folks getting into negative points. I'd say just don't let them bid on anything till they are in the positive, but have you guys had any other problems with it?

I'm asking because I would much rather defer my Paladin epic set for a really good weapon, or healing gear. There's no sense in having strength and agility bonuses in MC for Paladins, although every single Pally in my guild salivate over the set. Under our current system, the next epic Paladin piece goes to me, but if I defer it to someone else, that doesn't gain me an extra shot at an epic weapon, so.... blah, just curious about how to propose this points system and calm their worries about any problems

Ragnaros DEAD!

Killed Ragnaros last night. Finally. Took about 5 tries last night but we got much much better at him and finally took him down. Dropped some bad ass loot too, check it out. (guild members pictures)

I finally bugged everyone enough to do MC. I've thought about leaving the guild several times in frustration of lack of support for end game content.

ANNNNYWAY, I got a crappy video of us beating Lucifron:

What's everyone general feeling on rolling on items in a group. I used to roll on everything. Now if I can wear it, I'll roll on it otherwise I pass unless everyone in the group is a priest and a mage. I've partied with other guilds and some just try to scare you into not rolling and if you do it's mortal sin and threaten to ban you. Other's just roll for heck of it and some roll with the intent of selling it whether they need it or not. The normal thing to do is just roll on everything I think because that's the system in place by default. The honorable thing to do is roll if you can use it and pass if you can't. And the jerk thing to do is nijaloot it and bitch and whine about if you lose.

On BOP items, i only roll on what I can use. I have had a few run ins with this, a recent example as being...a paladin in the group rolled and won a 2 hand mace that was better than his 2 hand axe, i was the only other one rolling, next came a sword, which i desperatly needed, and everyone else said i could have, so i roll and then the pally rolls as well, and beats me, mind you it is BOP, so i was like "what the heck", and he said he rolled because he didnt see the other messages (yea right, we talked about it for a few min) and that he could "use it" and those were the rules. Anyway, I thought that was a greedy move on his part, since the mace he won earlier was better than the sword....

On none BOP items, I usually roll on everything, unless someone asks for it, and if i win something and someone wants it, i give it to them. If i am playing with guildmates or friends, I wont roll on things that I cant use and they can use, only rolling on things no one needs or i can use.

Need before greed on BoP. Free roll on green BoE's, but always give it up if someone can actually use it. Don't even get me started on purple stuff. There's a whole new mentality with that.

No problem. I might be quitting the game at the end of the month. If I do, I'll send you the rest of my gold (I think I have about 40 more). Just let me know which character you'd prefer it to go to.

Ok cool thanks, I primarily play my "modena" char. "Intron" is just an alt for when I want to take a break from playing my main char. Thanks again for the gold.

Well we did another gnomeranean run and this is what we do. BoE everyone rolls if they want it. On BoP, everyone passes and then we discuss who needs it more or if they both say they do then they roll. If you're honest than it's not a problem...sometimes people make mistakes.

I think I want to go to gnomeran again tonight tho - I want that hydracane!

yes, the rules that I was told no matter what run/raid - rules are set by the leader

for regular runs - BoE is free for all to roll - BoP - everyone passes then discuss who needs it - who gets the upgrade - then some ppl who really wants it can roll for it between those two or three whatever.

We finally downed Onyxia tonight!

I thought at 5% she was supposed to go in a frenzy, but she never did... I was prepared for the worst. Maybe she didn't do it or doesn't at all, but I don't see how people can wipe at 1%.

Aw dang. Recently turned 40 and saving up for a mount which I heard cost 100g at least. So I was transferring stuff from the bank to my bag to sell at AH and I notice I'm 25g short than what I thought I had. Oh damn I just purchased another slot for 25g. Sigh...now I need 55g instead of 30g.

I'm a skinner and tailor and a priest...where should I grind for gold???

I have almost finished leveling an alt char to 60, (currently 58 Priest, 4 blocks from 59). I still am playing my 60 warrior. Have been thinking about starting something else as well, just not sure what, and maybe a hordie. I am on Perenolde server.

Started a Druid on Alexsraza (however you spell it). level 20 now and love kitty form. Though I will make either a warrior or rogue (most likely warrior) that specializes in Fist Weapons of all Things.

have to edit this for new levels =P

I've got a lvl 70 Night Elf Hunter on Draenor (name is Straek).
My G/F plays a lvl 70 Human Mage, I also group with a lvl 62 human paladin and lvl 64 night elf hunter. Both RL friends of mine so we always roll around together.

I'm a leatherworker, and in the group we have an engineer, a tailor, and an alchemist.

I also have a lvl 62 night elf priest, who is an enchanter

Fairly well rounded group actually
