OMG! I just bought LOTR The Third Age and WOW! This has to be the best RPG I've ever played. It's so much fun, and I can tell I won't be finished with this one for a while. I've been playing for about 7 hours, made it pretty far (or so I thought) and I'm only 4% of the way through. Oh I love games like that.
There are 8 new characters you can switch between and play as, and I don't know what I like best, the turn based combat, or the Co-Op mode. Co-Op mode is basically 2 player. In co-op mode, player 1 controls these certain characters, and player 2 controls those certain characters. Only one player can control a character when you're walking around, but when you get into a battle, both players control their respective characters. If one of you decide that you don't want to play anymore, you just go into the menu and turn to co-op mode off. Then player 1 controls all the characters, and your game is otherwise untouched. A nice change from 2 player games that require you to be in either 1 or 2 player mode, not both. There's so much that I like about this game so far. If anyone is thinking about getting this game, DO IT! I don't think you'll be disappointed! |

That mode is fun. ![]() Yet another game I got a chance to try out when I tried Battle For Middle Earth (friend has the Gamecube version of The Third Age). Definately looked quite impressive (and long). |
