I need a new

I am in the market for a new game. I need something to save my sanity. I am not into cars, fighting, or aliens. I am a normal kinda gal. So any advice would be great. I also need something that can be saved on a whim, not have to get to this point so that I can save. as I have kids and can't always spend hours at the computer, and the kids turn the computer off regualrly. So thanks.

Only if you need an addiction: Space Rangers2

http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93651 (OK. I've been silent long enough, buy Space Rangers 2!)

I can't say enough positive things about this game. I completed it, and started up another character immediately after. I LOVE this game. It dethroned Deus Ex as my favoriate PC game of all time.

worms. really. One of the best games ever made - 15 minutes to learn, a lifetime to master.

Pick up a Sims game...that's an instant way to pass a couple...(or a couple *dozen*) hours. And you can save your game at any time.

In the vein of Worms, there's Gunbound, which is free and has a huge community of immature spammers to tune out. There's also broken English to read for entertainment instead of Worms' wit.

You might consider some old-school adventure games, such as the Monkey Island series. Those are always good for a laugh, if that's your thing. Use ScummVM to play especially old LucasArts games.

Finally, most of the women I know enjoy Tetris, so take a look at Tetrinet 2 if you're among the Tetris-liking crowd. It has your choice of spicy or vanilla gameplay, and a master server for chatting and connecting to games. I haven't been actively lurking here, so I don't know if I'm re-treading old ground or what your tastes might be. (Please don't take the multiplayer Tetris game as an insult. )

It's back to hibernation for me.

There are some really good puzzle games on gamehouse.com - Zuma, Luxor & Collapse are very addicting. If you buy the full versions, you don't even have to save the games - just close the app & it autosaves your game so you can start it right back up at the same place.

I second gunbound. We have inactive G|A guild there which I play once a week or more. I think Roniman maintains the guild and I see occasional appearances by Cheesypuff.

I REALLY LOVE POGO.COM
there are many gemaes to play for free.nothing to save. bunch of short games. word, numbers, etc.
try it u might like it. there is also a paid version, like 10$a year, and you get to im others and have a avatar and more games and just more. the free is good for me though.
good luck, have fun

SNOOD is a great way to waste your brain away.
I also recommend that you go buy a $20 8 button controller and download some older NES or SNES games. Most of those games are simple to play and are small in size. They don't require a fancy computer to run either.

My girlfriend liked " ER " Actually. It's like a Medical version of The Sims. In one part she got drugged and you start seeing wierd things all over the screen. It's a pretty decent game for those that like that sort of thing
