X Box Picture for Sale on EBay

There are always some people who either for fun or greed try to sell just a picture of the hotest item- rather than the item itself. And people who want the item bad enough to bid on it without reading the listing closely. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=8236463674

The seller is now "not a registered user". It looks like eBay isn't putting up with it this time...

You know what though? Anyone that bids on that is retarded. I mean the guy shouldn't even really get in trouble for it. Since it clearly states all over the auction what he is selling.

It just shouldn't get any bids. I read the entire auction everytime I bid on something, and sometimes re-read after I bid JUST IN CASE.

Same old sh!t, different year...
http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82329 (Another ebay butthole)

I think the moron bidding on this should be shot out of a cannon. Furthermore, I believe said cannon should be pointed in the direction of the seller.

True...but he is setting up these sorts of auctions to take advantage of these people. I mean, what if that was some old lady that can't see very well...or doesn't even know computers that well...and she is just trying to find an Xbox for her grandson.

It's not very fair to even set up people like that. It'd be like selling a used car with low mileage and no motor. You get someone who isn't paying attention and is it really fair to take advantage like that?

I'm not sure if I find it "fair" or not. I mean I'm not too thrilled with people that like to find the loopholes in things to get away with it. But they will always be there, and frankly it's people like that that help places like ebay fix their loopholes.

I know a lot of people that do stupid auctions anymore, especially ones that blatant, are more doing it for the media attention things like that sometimes get. The dumber they are the more people look.

I Mean look at us, now we have sent atleast 20+ people to look at an auction that none of us intended to buy.

But Frankly, I think shooting the guy or hanging him is a bit extreme for an auction that someone overpaid for

It's like most of the auctions for stuff like magic cards where people like to put in "I'm not sure what's in this mixed box of magic cards, I found them in my grandsons room after he moved away and said he didn't want to keep anything he had, so I'm selling this box as is." when it's really the guy that collected the cards and he took out anything of value and through in 5 semi-rares to look more legitimate.

All Dirty. But that's why I hardly ever purchase on ebay

On a side note: I do agree that doing this part is shady and most likely why the guy is no longer a registered user. (of course neither is the buyer, so there is probably more to the story.)

Bloody lowlifes. Yes, buyers shouldn't be that stupid. BUT, their stupidity doesn't mean that others should take advantage of them.

I think it is pure comedy. And what I love the most is that it looks like someone tried to snipe the auction at then. Guy must have felt great that he snuck in and got the item then all of a sudden heard the raspberry sound from Let's Make a Deal playing in his head when fully read the description.

You all can condemn this guy for the listing but I think it is just funny.
