what 360 game to get
I have 2 Xbox 360's coming on Monday and Tuesday (long story, looking to sell one), and I am not sure what game to get. I want the whole HD experience, so audio mix and graphic detail is very crucial.
I like madden, but call of duty 2 looks pretty awesome. Driving games are great as well. I am considering NFS, PGR, Call of Duty and Madden. Anyone have any of these? What do you prefer. I like all three styles of gaming, but it has been a long time since I have played madden.

GIVE ME YOUR GAMERTAG!!! Mine is gear02
As for games, I have madden, PGR, NBA live, and tiger woods. The EA games are beautiful although the gameplay is a perfect hit or miss depending if you like previous EA games. However, the games have been stripped down. For example, with Madden there are no minicamps, no GM, just basic trading and signing players, no scouting, not sure if there's a draft. All the games have no alternate uniforms (which I'm f*kcing pissed about). So if you want to play a beatiful and enjoyable sports game, then they fit the bill, but just don't expect them to be as deep as the xbox versions. As far as PGR, it's really stunning and a lot of fun. It is pretty deep with tons of cars. 5 tracks, but they're incredible and I haven't gotten bored of them since they change the tracks a lot. It's quite an experience to drive by the Bellagio and the detail is stunning. Someone took a screenshot of part of the track in NY and they actually found the same storefront in real life with almost perfect detail. My problem is that driving games don't float my boat. I get bored of them decently quickly. I think NFS isn't as good as PGR, but it's a different type of racing game. But there are some neat games on Xbox Live Marketplace. Geometry wars is an amazing game. Simple, but very amazing. Last edited by gear02 : 12-16-2005 at 12:27 PM. |

Project Gotham Racing 3 is the only title I've seen that showcases the system's power.
Perfect Dark Zero is supposed to be pretty good as well; not the "Halo killer" people hoped for, but good nonetheless. I've finished CoD2 on the PC and must say it's one of the best games I've ever played...I didn't really like the X360 demo though (I prefer the keyboard+mouse control). Nevertheless...CoD2 for the X360 is probably the other game I'd buy if I owned one. I'd probably say ... purchase in the above order. ![]() PGR3 is sooooo pretty. I'm not a graphics whore by any means but good god it's pretty. ![]() |

I have a $10 rewards zone certificate, so i think I may buy a gamer gift card for the $5 off coupon, and stack it with my reward zone cert. I was in best buy today, but the lines were crazy. I may try tomorrow. |

Hmmm what game to get....
Call of Duty 2 is SWEET on the 360 but it without the keyboard and mouse. I had a blast playing through it on the 360 Madden is good if you just want gamepley, the game is almost like a beta version. There is no way to change the camera angle, if you zoom out to look at your recievers you can't zoom back in. No way to hide your play when playing against somebody on the same TV. I personally enjoy the 1st player for what it is, but I don't like the multiplayer, 60$ seems like a strech for madden 06, 07 when it comes out though.... PGR3 is a blast, great graphics I'm enjoying it a lot. A good rental might be Condemend, good graphics great sound and a good 1player game. I say rental cause it is supposed to be 10-15hrs to beat it(only played it for 2hrs). I also have some other games, amped3(fun but weird, not like amped2), kameo(only played it for 15mins, waiting to beat other games), and PDZ(opening it this weekend). |
