As a reminder about how Freeride works to those who have saved up their points, when you redeem your points for gift certificates, you are not buying them directly from the etailer, but from Freeride's allotment of gift certs. This stack of gift certs is purchased by Freeride from the etailer. If Freeride doesn't have enough funds to buy lots of GC this week, then you will have to wait a little bit later before Freeride buys some more GC and then notifies your account that the GC is available. This delay is probably what contributes to the longer delays for some people for certain brands of GC in the past.
