HOT! - Radeon X850PRO AGP (new with warranty) for $139.00

AGP lovers....here's a decent deal, Still has the 1yr warranty on it. Grab it while you can. They seem to have these deals once in a while. They have some x800xls and old 9600se on the same page.

Cheers

I am considering getting one of the X800 XLs for $119, but I can't seem to add anything to my cart. Anyone else tried? Using IE browser and cookies are not turned off (the explination they give for having troubles). Thoutht it might be a nice upgrade for my 9700 non pro.

I was reading on another forum that the code 1439 could give an additional 5% discount. If I can get an order in, I will certainly try it.

Well I just got one of those pre-order. It will be replacing my 9800 pro card. This will definitely help keep my Athlon 3000+ going long and strong for a while longer.

EDIT: I got the X800XL like Zippyjuan - it has better performance than the X850 Pro

Online still wans't working for me so I called them up and ordered it (the X800 XL). It is refurbished but has a one year warranty. I figure getting it from the manufacturer is pretty safe. They quoted me no sales tax and free shipping! Great deal on an AGP card. Most places are still close to the $300 list price and it is very comparable to the 6800 GT in performance (beats it sometimes, gets beat on some like Doom). It has a slower clock than the X850 Pro but more pipelines so it is more efficient and a bit faster- not to mention $20 cheaper here! Next time I upgrade will probably require a new system to change to PCI Express though. At least I can still get some mileage from my XP 2400 system for a while. This will replace my 9700 non pro. Thanks for the heads up on the site!

Some of the x850 pro's can be unlocked to get the 16 pipelines working and they can perform like the x850 xl PE if they have the right ram on them. I would like to get one so I'll let you guys know if it is unlockable.

In the articles I briefly read when I was trying to decide which one to get, the X850 Pros that unlock tend to be the ones with Video In- Video Out and this one does not say that it is, but of course you never know until you try. I also read that some have been laser cut to prevent the mod. Let us know if it works!

I missed that. Hope it works for you! Either way you are getting a great price on a pretty darn good AGP card.

The two we were looking at are in most cases slightly better than the 6800GT which is better than a plain 6800. 6800 also comes in both PCI Express and AGP slots so be sure you are looking at one that will fit your computer.

Card is here already- it came a couple of days ago but I was not home when the delivery driver came. I just installed it and tried 3D Marks 2003. My score with my Radeon 9700 non pro was about 4500 and now it is 8750! That is with the drivers it came with. I haven't tried any newer ones yet- most of the newer drivers are optimized for PCI Express so that may not help anyways. Also tried some Splinter Cell Chaos Theory and was able to turn up the effects more. Looks great! A nice upgrade for $120. Thanks for the tip! And yes, the code 1439 is good for an extra 5% off at the ATI online store on purchases over $99 excluding tax and shipping.

I also got my new 300gb harddrive installed as a slave.
