Ambien CR is known to work for up to 7 hours, but only take it when you are prepared to devote a full 7 to 8 hours to sleep. This gives your body the time it needs to absorb the drug.

Be sure to take Ambien on an empty stomach, otherwise the effectiveness of the medication will be delayed.

Ambien CR has worked wonders for my insomnia. I have taken rozerem (did not help me at all), lunesta (worked, but took around an hour to help me fall asleep and woke up during the night), and "regular" ambien (worked but woke up during the night).
I have chronic insomnia and would take 4 benadryl along with over the counter sleep aids to fall asleep...and yet I would still only sleep 4 hours a night. Last edited by MarCn : 11-17-2010 at 12:27 AM. |
